Education loan

Querist : Anonymous (Querist) 17 January 2020 This query is : Resolved
I had clear my education loan by paying under one time settlement. Now bank is not giving me No due certificate they keep saying it's not yet approved. what next procedure I should take?
Quick Summary
If you've settled your education loan through a one-time payment but the bank is refusing to issue a No Due Certificate, you have several avenues to pursue. You can consider approaching the Banking Ombudsman, a consumer forum, or even the High Court for assistance. It's also advisable to consult a local lawyer with all your settlement documentation for professional guidance. If it's a government bank, you might be able to get status updates via an RTI request. Alternatively, issuing a legal notice demanding the certificate, followed by a consumer court complaint if there's no response, are also viable options.

If you have the details and documentary evidences of this one time settlement then you issue a legal notice demanding the no due certificate , f the bank is still not responding then you may approach consumer court with a complaint seeking remedy and relief along with compensation for the deficiency in service.
