change of date of birth

Dear sir,

I have my date of birth indicated as 12th April 56 but actual date of birth is 10th Aug 1956 in Davanagere. Now I am working as chief manager in central PSU in Bangalore.
Can I get my date of birth changed to 10th Aug 1956- but I do not have any documents to prove this.What is the procedure to be follwed ?

Author himself has stated that he has no supporting documents to prove his correct date of birth. There itself, the case is closed.
