Powers of Tahsildar in Maharashtra in 2003-04

Dear SIR/MAM,

i being a newbie in the forum from Maharashtra, wanted to ask " In 2003-04 the Tahsildar gave us a certificate (as Tahsildar being competent in 2003-04 to issue such certificates.)in favor of my father that my father is entitled to possess my grandfather's property under the provided documents such as WILL, Death Certificate, etc."
My question is, under which clause/powers of the Tahsildar, Tahsiladar was competent in 2003-04 to issue such certificates.

Pls reply ASAP.

OBC certificate

I am from Kerala and my caste Veerasaiva comes under OBC. I have married to a namboodiri caste who doesn't come under OBC. If i need to get a caste certificate of OBC for my children for any central govt. job, education etc, how can i get it

Enquiry about equitable mortgage

Is deposit of tax demand register extract and EC are enough for creation of equitable mortgage. As I remember there is one Supreme Court decision to the effect that "Mere deposit of tax paid receipt is enough for creation of mortgage by deposit of title deeds". As such can I get some precedent judgments on the subject matter.

Name Change in My Land Documets

Dear All,

I'm K.M.Jagadeesh.(Korapatti Mohan Jagadeesh), wherein "Korapatti" stands for my Family/Community name, "Mohan" for my Father, & Jagadeesh for my name. My Surname's "NAIDU".

In Our family pattern, everyone has the family name for their INITIALS and just their name. In such a case I should be referred to as Korapatti Jagadeesh (K.Jagadeesh for short..). But since I applied for my PAN Card with my School TC & other stuff, I have it to be K.M.Jagadeesh.

I'm applying for a my name change with the Govt. Gazette to Jagadeesh.K.(Also for my PAN Card & other Bank accounts with it once the gazette gets published with my changed name).

I would request advice/suggestions/steps from U experts on how it would affect the legal documents/sale deeds for the land i've purchased some time ago.

Also,I would like to know what are the procedures to effect my name change with the above said sale deeds/documents.
