How to get No Objection certificate from NRI -legal Heir required for transmission of Eq.Shares
MY father expired leaving behind legal heirs and one legal heir is living in U.S. The Equity shares in the name of my father is to be transferred to my mother/widow. So,as per Banking rquirements to be submitted in India -- No- objection- certificate by other legal heirs is to be submitted in favour of my mother along with I.Bond, etc. The legal heirs living in India will do so, no problem. The problem is that how to get No-objection-certificate from the NRI legal heir Because he is in U.S. . what is the procedure for this.?
1) I want to know that if N.O.C. document is to be stamped or registered in U.S.( -foreign country ) at the Indian Embassy in U.S. ?
2) What document sheet - Plain Paper or like stamp paper ( like Rs.10/. stamp paper). to be used for the affidavit ? Since in india the affidavit for N.O.C. like in the above case is to made on Rs.10/. stamp paper.
3). How the indian authorities can find the authenticity / truthfulness of the affidavit made in foreign country ?
