U/c 498a dowry act

it is case of my sister who got married in nov 2010.soon after marriage her in laws and her husband started torturing and demanding more dowry in terms of cash and utensils.however we full filled all their desire what they demanded at the time of marriage. resulting she was immediately required to bring at home.thereafter we filed complaint case at court.its almost 9 months passed.cognizance has been taken as per section 498a.her mother-in-law got bail on the ground of medical.her husband's bail has been rejected twice a time by the court.now we want to get divorce from him and get all items and cash returned from them as my sister doesn't want to reside with them.can u tell me what would be the next phase of court proceeding and kindly advice what actions has to be taken to meet our requirement.

Why don't both families sit together and end it.

Otherwise keep making lawyers rich by filing multifarious litigation.

you have filed 498 A . judicial process takes time . if her husband is agreeable for divorce get one by mutual consent . in consent terms make prvision for return of dowry items . also ask for miantenance
