    my grand father invested Rs.20,000 and 4,000 in SBI TDR in 1975 when he alive. He take interest in cash till he live dt.04.07.1979. He also done a registered will in favour of my father. we don't know about TDR till March, 09. In March when my father claim for the amount then SBI give us simple interest. Is it legal ? If not then Plz help me.

    Hi, My friend who is NRI and based in Can got married to an indian origin girl through arranged marriage. There was no Dowry taken but marriage was done very well by bride's parents by their own will. My friend initiated the process of her visa and bride was staying at my friend's parents house. But she wanted independence and fought alot with my friend's parents and finally her parents came to my friend's parents and they they got into ugly confrontation and took her back to their home. Then my my friend came back after one month to reconcile but they humiliated my friend too badly and threatened him with dire consequences if he didnot take here along asap to canada. After seeing all this he got really frightened and do not want to be with her now. Girl's parents are rich businessmen and influential and my friend's parents are aged and retired and suffering from cancer. What options can my friend can have. Now he has gone back and i am looking after his parents but they are scared. What procedure should we follow to safeguard in eventuality of any crimal proceedings. My Friend is working in canada and fear alot that all these false allegations might ruin him and his family. Let me know the way out. Regards, RMK
