A Construction company has purchased our bulding and wanted to reconstruct the same.Since the time company purchased the building ,they are not taking rent from last 2 years from few tenant and asking for consent signature to redevleop for which we are not ready.Now they have filed court case saying that we are not payibg rent, and have done some illegal modification in house which is totally false.
Pls provide remedy for this.

answer their false petition/suit by denial and stating correct facts and deposit all due rent cost of suit to gather with interest(normally 9%check your own state law)on the very first date you appear in court.
you should have deposited rent in the court when it was denied by sending a money order to land lord.
