Criteria for being treated a person medically fit can only be known from the medical professionals of a Government Hospital according to the norms prescribed to be observed by them with particular reference to various contageous and non-contageous diseases.
Normally the early stages of diabetes is not considered worth to declare the employee as permanently unfit for some types of service. He can be declared as temporarily unfit to enable him to recover within a reasobale time and to be re-examined after proper treatment.
If a person is declared as unfit that means he is treated as permanently unfit for the particular post for which he is being considered for examination. However, the person declared temporarily unfit, has the chances to recover after proper treatment and get himself re-examined to be treated as fit for the job. Time to join the post depends upon the discretion of the appointing authority, which is further subject to the urgency to fill up the post depending upon the nature of work, whether can be postponed or not till joining of the incumbent.
