Exemption for obc persons in different states

Dear Sir/Madam,
I belong to Most Backward Class (MBC) category under Tamil Nadu Government. Can I apply for any flat scheme sponsored by UP State Govt. under OBC category?
Will I get exemption in UP for this purpose although I belong to MBC category in Tamil Nadu?

Each state has its own OBC list including a separate list for Central Government. Only if you are mentioned in the OBC list of U.P you will be eligible to take benefit of the Scheme.

You shall have to check the rules of scheme. Generally such schemes are limited to only residents of that particular states and thereafter you have to check whether your caste comes within the list of OBC in UP or not and if you qualify under both tests then apply.
