Dear Sir,
I raised issue about Saturday working overtime wages. My duty time is 9 hrs. in General Shift.(from Monday to Friday) & 8 hrs.(on Saturday). Total working hrs. are 53 hrs, in week. As per Maharashtra Shops & Establishment Act I demanded 5 hrs. overtime wages (53 hrs.- 48 hrs.) to Company. Instead consider the issue Company denied to give me overtime wages on ground that it adjusted Saturday working for luncheon/tea break time I consume in a week. Is this statement justified Company/s action to not giving me overtime wages? What do I do?
