Change of surname on marriage certificate

I want to change my surname to my original maiden name from my husband's surname on my marriage certificate, what would be the procedure?

Made a affidavit of change the surname from your name which you desire.

Published in news paper.

submit a application before appropriate authority with above said document. authority will kept your application and made change.

You can also use above said documents whenever you required. No need to made change in marriage certificate at present.
