hello all,
i am an non agriculturist , service professional, but want to buy a land in maharashtra for long investment purpose like 5-10 yrs and also 1-2 acre of land, but all the lands in outskirts of any city is agricultural, want to know whether i can buy that land and retain it for such period, i dont have any intention to do any agricultural activity, plz guide me regarding this issue.

You have to verify the state government rules and restriction about purchasing the agricultural land by a non agriculturist. You can verify the same from the district revenue Office.
