Supreme court case in civil appeal

A civil appeal is pending in supreme court appearing at item no 60 in weekly causelist and at 180 in terminal list for the current year. When is it likely to be heard before the judge, i.e the time it would normally require to go from weekly to daily causelist and then finally for hearing.

It is depends upon the number of cases daily. You have to watch supreme court cause list online every day

Thank you for your reply, but I have been tracking this for more than 2 years now. Once it had even made to daily list, and still nothing happened.

So that is why asking from experience of professionals as to the time it would normally take.

I am not a laywer, but due to my vast experience in the SC, I seek to reply as under:

1. Whether first lsting on Misc. Day is done and notice has been issued?

2. If answer to the above is in affirmative, then you have to first establish whether your matter falles under complete or incomplete matter?

Complete would mean that the other side has filed their vakalatnama with counter. If this is done, it may be listed anyday. However, if you want

it to be listed still early you can write to Registrar Judicial giving Case Details with relevant section of the registry that is handling your matter,

requesting him for expedite listing before the court? You can file such a request with index at the filing counter. Good wishes n Thanks
