Chs repair cost

I am staying in chs located in Mumbai suburbs having 10 story building my flat on 4 th floor my livimg room ceiling is started deteriorating last year and now exposed rcc element seen .society is telling me it's member responsibility. I am of view that it's society to do the needful. Who will bear the repairing cost?

If the damage is inside four walls of the flat it is the owners liability, if it is due to leakage due to seepage from upper floor flat, it is for the owner of upper floor. Did you discuss the problem with owner of upper floor flat and MC of the Society ?
