324 ipc bailable or non bailable

whether 324 IPC is a bailable offence or a non bailable offence...?

as per my IPC book bought in 2001, Sec.324 IPC is a bailable offence. but i learned that as per the criminal law amendement act,2008 the said offence is a non bailable offence.... my doubt is that amendment act is applicable to the state of Tamil Nadu..?.. as thus the said offence is non bailable in tamil nadu also..?

Dear Nowshad,

All the Central Act as well as amendments are applicable to all india except state of jammu and kashmir unless state amendment is there.

dear friends it is non-bailable as per amended IPC, however police officials are not aware of this fact, it might be possible in some cases the police officals can admit the accused on bail at the time of their arrest.
