Myself and my mother holding ancestral property in native(tamil nadu)(currently agri land but no cultivation for more than 10 yrs). During settlement from my grandfather 10 yrs back, he divided into 3 portions, other 2 portions belongs to my uncles. our piece was quoted say 50 cents as per original registered document, as per fmb and actual boundary it is 30 cents only, broker helped me to figure out this while i was trying to sell. rechecked myself in sketchandcalc online it is less area nad boundary in land marked as per fmb only, should i raise a petition to district collector to put an order to survey dept for re-survey or to survey Department directly.
also please let me know where in chennai to re-check/calculate land area based on fmb.
