Identity theft

Is it possible to sue or file a legal case against a company (LLP) which is using the identity of a person (without the knowledge of that person) as one of its directors, since years?

No prudent company management resorts to such cheap tactics.  There are other things to look as facts like attending any meet, raising bills or getting any reimbursement, getting fees etc.,  The date of knowledge, the relations between other directors and the shares of the director etc., have to be studied.  You can first legal notice as to why should not you sue against the company for misusing/abusing your name as director in the company without your knowledge and consent, depending on their response you can first make a complaint to the Registrar of companies, get officially out of the trap if any and then think of other remedies.

Thanks for your reply. So, it would be first better to send a legal notice to the company? and is there any chance to claim any capital or profit share for the previous years?
