The ultimate goal in life is mental peace.  If any further step helps you in any way, you can go for that.  When the world is wide open, cut the issue then and there and do not prolong for your pleasure as you may have to waste time and money on such empty pursuits.  If you still want to proceed, make a police complaint with such a marriage certificate and inform the employers of ex wife and her present husband.  Such marriage is not having legal sanctity and void.

Bigamy is where a person who is already married, marries another person. It is a criminal offence which can potentially be punished by up to seven years in prison.

The marriage solemnised without dissolving the subsisting marriage shall be considered as an offence under section 494 IPC as an act of bigamy.

Bigamy is a NON-cognizable offense. It is bailable and compoundable with the permission of court if the offense is committed under section 494 of the IPC. Punishment is imprisonment, which may extend till 7 years or fine or both.

Although section 494 IPC is a noncognizable and compoundable offence, but it attracts max. 7 years jail sentence and the monetary fine too. On the other hand, if second marriage is performed by the wife or the husband, provided the spouse is missing for seven years and above, then it is no offence.

The Questioner said she'd married.    Why should we inquire about proofs?     Our Replies should be based on his statement.
