I am 38 years of age (Indian women) living with a Nigerian Man. I gave birth to a baby girl in the year 2011. I did not give the father's name in the hospital as we had some personal issues at that time. My name was given to the hospital as katherin vera solarez. Now when the hospital forward details of the birth to the BMC at virar the stated my middle & surname as the fathers name where as vera is my second name. We then got the amendment from the hospital and submited the certificate alongwith affidavit that i & the nigerian man are the leagal parents of the girl child and therefore request them to issue the birth certificate accordingly. However the BMC at virar refuses to do so saying that they cannot change their records. I earestly need your assistance and guidance & help to get this issue sorted.
