The Urdu Education Board (UEB) is recognized as a Minority Educational Institution by the National Commission for Minority Educational Institutions, which is a statutory body under the Government of India. It is also recognized by the Government of NCT of Delhi and has received membership from the Council of Boards of School Education in India (COBSE).

However, it's important to note that while UEB has recognition from these bodies, it is not explicitly listed among the boards directly recognized by the Ministry of Education itself.

The Ministry has acknowledged UEB in parliamentary discussions, stating that it has written to some educational organizations to facilitate admissions for UEB students, but this does not equate to formal recognition as a national board.

If you're considering UEB for academic or professional purposes, it’s wise to verify whether its certificates are accepted by the specific institutions or employers you're targeting.
