Tds on property

1s1tc0mpuls0ryt0ment10ntdscut1nsaledeed

Quick Summary
This discussion clarifies whether it's mandatory to record Tax Deducted at Source (TDS) in the sale deed for property transactions exceeding fifty lakh pounds. It is essential to include this information to prevent the buyer from facing future income tax liabilities for non-deducted or unrecorded TDS, which could be considered tax evasion.

I DONT KNOW WHY THE WORDINGS CAME THAT WAY...MAYBE BECAUSE I AM TYPING FROM MOBILE...

I WAS ASKING WHETHER IT IS COMPULSORY TO NOTE DOWN TDS DEDUCTED IN SALE DEED OF PROPERTY( IN CASE THE PROPERTY IS MORE THAN FIFTY LAKH)

YES .... ELSE during futursitic Income Tax calculations, the buyer shall become liable for payment of the non-deducted or non-shown TDS (which would amount to evasion).

Keep Smiling .... Hemant Agarwal
