Spelling mistake in surname

Dear Sir / Madam, I want to know how spelling mistake in my name can be corrected legally, as some KYC documents has different surname (incorrect spelling) and correct surname(correct spelling). Request you to guide me over this scenario, as I want to have same surname all over my KYC documents. Thank You.

If the surname in one document is corrected, just file application in others demanding for correction of the name as per the record available with you, with a notarized affidavit attested by two gazetted officers and duly attested document that is having correct spelling.

There are several type of documents. This is simple in case of Bank, land line, and other routine transcactions.
