Sharing e-banking password

Team:

Please go through below case:

Account 1: DEBITED

Account Type: Joint Account (Savings - Anyone or Survivor)

Account Holders: A(Main Holder), B, C, & D

Amount Transfered via E-Banking by D: INR 10,000

Amount Transfered Date: Sep 1, 2017

E-Banking Status: A locked his password two years back and never used E-Banking.

Account 2: DEBITED

Account Type: Joint Account (Savings - Anyone or Survivor)

Account Holders:  B (Main Holder), C, & D

Amount Transfered via E-Banking by D: INR 10,000

Amount Transfered Date: Sep 1, 2017

E-Banking Status: Never applied by B & C.

Account 3: CREDITED

Account Type: Joint Account (Savings - Anyone or Survivor)

Account Holders:  D (Main Holder), E

Amount Received via E-Banking by E: INR 20,000

Amount Transfered Date: Sep 1, 2017

So looking at above detail, one would clearly understand that a E-Banking transaction was done from both accounts received by third account whereby in all three D was a common joint holder.

Incidentally A,B & C were never aware about above transfer from both of the accounts & when inquired - were bit worried because D met with an accident and expired on Jan 1, 2017. As the transfer date was Sep 1, 2017 & carried by D(Bank informed) it turned to be more suspicious. Due to some issues in D's name, the death certificate was issued late & A,B & C were not able to remove D's name from accounts before the transfer happened. Understanding above case below are some queries:

I. It is quite possible that E made request for D's password for all three accounts from Bank and post having access E made the transfers. E knows about this and is denying to pay back the money.  In any case does E hails rights to remove money from both of the accounts?

II. A,B & C requested Bank to provide complete detail for both the accounts(E-Banking access etc) but they aren't providing correct information through Email or personal visits since 25 days.

III. Contacted RBI Ombudsmen panel and they asked to wait for 30 days.

IV. Contacted Local Police officer to file a F.I.R but they didn't accepted the request and asked us to wait for RBI's revert. In case if RBI does not brings justice to the case than they would file the F.I.R.

A,B & C are really confused with no available options accepting their request neither they have received their both accounts information. Please guide what next steps should be taken.

Thanks,

M
