Person A enters into an agreement to sell land with Person B. Person B then assigns his rights under the agreement to sell, to Person C. Person A enters into a sale deed with Person C for sale of the land.
Can the registration fee paid on the agreement to sell be set off against the registration fee to be paid on the sale deed.
