How to reduce crime rate

our question in this post is how to reduce crime?

to answer this question first we must find why crime is increasing?

there are several reasons:

first we must accept the hypothesis that if crime rate increases in our current  system then the reason of such increase must be in our current system.we must find out where the reason is?

1] it is the tendency of our political leader to put any act that disturbs society into IPC i.e they criminalize the act. in this way, the number of criminal act increases. with that the number of the performer of those act i.e. criminals also increases. if today surfing internet is made criminal, then just imagine how many criminals will be there?

but there is another arm of law called civil. why not make an act civil offence? civil offence is also prosecuted by court and damage is awarded as punishment.

2] there are some acts which we human beings could not do without such as bribing, prostitution, p*rn movie, domestic violence, cheating, black money  etc. people all over the world could not do without these acts. in developped country like america and europe, people also do these acts. if one criminalize these acts, then number of criminal would skyrocket overnight.besides it is a torture to the people because they could not do without it.

our govt. cannot criminalize SIMI who conducts muslim terrorism but can criminalize these acts which people all over the world could not do without.

3] we have to understand the nature of jail. jail is a place where if you spend even 3 months, you cannot comeback to the mainstream society. society will ultimately reject you. you won't get any job, you won't stay at your home. your own relative will not accept you. you cannot stay at a public place. it is just so inhuman. although law forgives you but society cannot. then where will you go? you have to go back to those friends in jail. thus you, a first time offender will become a permanent offender. sending a offender to jail thus increases number of criminal.

4] then there is intolerance. people are sent to jail for expressing their own opinion. barun gandhi went to jail for expressing his opinion about muslims.and jail makes them criminal. this also increase number of criminal.

5] the inability of court to uncover the truth. people are sent to jail in false cases. and jail makes them criminal.

6] partiality of indian judges can also decides someone's fate. judges must be impartial they should not be influenced by rich and should not be sympathetic to poor. but indian judges are influenced by rich and sympathetic to the poor. thus they lack impartiality.

7] corruption in police is also another reason. you will be surprised to hear that indian police does not follow CrPC thoroughly. rather they conduct investigation their way making more innocent people a criminal.

8] trial by media: such trial is obviously based on no evidence and pure gossip.but such trial can destroy a person's image totally.

so you see why rate of crime increases in india?

now what to do to reduce crime rate?

1] do not criminalize acts which people could not do without such as bribing, prostitution, p*rn movie, domestic violence, cheating, black money  etc. rather make these acts civil offence.

2] only make those acts criminal that are really dangerous to society such as rape, murder etc.

3] use probation as often as possible to avoid jail. make offences civil to avoid jail. jail increases number of criminal.

4] learn tolerance. if a person is released from jail why you hate him when he had done nothing to you? ban laws that punish people for expressing their opinion.

5] make provision to punish corrupt, partial judges. cancel their licence and fire them.

6] make provision to punish corrupt police officers. just fire these police officer from their job. that would be fine.

7] stop trial by media. make it illegal. charge fines to media for trial by media.

i know most of the LCI member will not agree with me. they simply don't reply the post and let it sunk. but i will urge to every right thinking people to think over it. if they join hands then we could make a better india.

Hi Arnab ... good to see that you have put on your thinking cap again ..

Just 2 things:

1)  Reference to there are several reasons>Para2>"..developped country like america and europe.."---When did america and europe become countries? They were continents the last time I heard !!!;)

2) Reference to now what to do to reduce crime rate??>Para4>"learn tolerance.."-----In replies to my earlier posts in a thread titled "can a common indian citizen having no disputes enter court?" started by you, you had written (a) "prasun chandra das you can take things personally but thats your choice. i don't care a damn thing of it."; (b) "prasun chandra das certainly does not want a fair trial. he is very happy with the unfairness of the trial. he also have some inhuman, barbaric ideology i have found in my earlier threads." You could not tolerate my views, could you? Alas, if only you could tolerate my views, I would have been saved from feeling like a criminal.

Don't worry, there are many right thinking people at LCI who would read your post and hopefully reply too. I only wish that they find enough time.

so kind of you that you reply to my post...................

how many people has the brain to understand what i mean? they have their blind faith imposed on them by their parents or their illiterate, stupid religious gurus. why they will listen to reason?

i don't care who thinks what about me. that's none of my business.  if people has nothing to say then they will not reply. but i have something to say, so i will go on saying.

india is a backward country. it is backward in thinking, intelligence, money, industry etc. and india does not want to be forward in these fields. if india won't solve her problem which is unique to her, nobody will do that kind job for her. if india won't take the 1st  step, she will always remail last provided that she did not take the 2nd, 3rd and 4th step.

the objective of judicial system of a country is to reduce the crime rate. so is the objective of indian judicial system. but in india crime rate are increasing day by day. so i think that the objective of system fails. what do you do now? don't you look at the system and try to find the reason of failure and redesign the system?

there are many people in india who cannot provide a better solution to an existing problem but are good at criticizing, mocking, pulling legs of those who try to provide a solution. these morons often think about themselves as alknower but actually they are  rubbish fool.

fine indians!  go on.! live in a society full of dirt, filth, crime and DO NOT TRY TO CHANGE IT.  always pull the legs of a brave soul who dare to redesign  the system to  reduce crime rate. ALWAYS CRITICIZE that person unless that poor fellow give up and you f**ker indians live in your f**ker hell where you are used to live.

i don't care a damn about the criticism you are making, assholes. i will publish my ideas of a new system and design that EFFECTIVLY REDUCE THE CRIME RATE OF INDIA.

fool, goddamn, f**ker critics.

I don't think discussing things on this website will bring a change. The main question is whether Parliament is listening? Just see that Parliament has criminalized consensual s*x between adolescents. Our country will be sending adolescents to jail for doing s*x but not educate them how to do safe s*x.

This system of criminalizing every common act was started by British so that they can terrorize the natives to keep them in control by judicial violence. Same policy is continuing today because it suits the vested interests in power.

(Guest)

actually our politicians are nothing but the mental slave of the british. they have no ground, no qualification etc. to rule a country. when i first saw nehru, i thought he is a chaprasi of some officer. now these chaprasui kind of people got power.

just think that an adolscent who is just 15 or 16 yr. old in the very begining of his/her life are sent to jail. what would their entire life be, after releasing from jail? have any dullhead moron ever thought that? for what? for a very generous activity, the activity which is the source of all of us: s*x. i can't even laugh at this move of hypocratic politicians.

i will try my best to build public opinion against this kind of hate ful activity towards love/s*x (both are same). thats what i can do.

I read a wonderful line a few days back : "I AM TOO OLD TO THINK THAT I KNOW EVERYTHING".

Arnab - How old are you? My guess (going by your post on 23.6.12 at 12:23) is that you are 7 years old max.

and my guess is that you are not more than 2 yr. old. in fact your thinking pattern shows me that. in fact i think you have a disability of thinking. if you take help from a specialist, then you would be o.k.

i also suspect that you are a possible impotent man that why you condemn consensual s*x.  thats why you are so against s*x just like our politicians . don't worry , people like you are everywhere and they vent their anger by passing law that condemn consensual s*x among adults.

i also guess that you are a neurotic man. since you have general averment towards normal natural acts between people with full consent, i suspect that neurotic people like you are not safe for society. please do not spread neurosis in the entire society for god's sake.

Prasun Chandra Das (Banker)     26 June 2012

What is "neurotic"?

By the way, I did not say anything about s*x at all. Your knowledge on the subject, like on all other subjects under the sun, is far superior to mine. I was only commenting in general on your "what-i-think-is-right" attitude. And I dont think I am spreading anything in this forum. I admit I do not share your infinite enthuasism to change the country by writing long posts.

I was thinking about rebutting your 1st, opening post in this thread. But it would take so much time, and in the end would prove so futile, that I dropped the idea. In any case, no one reads/replies to your posts (except yours truly), and you are intolerant of any views different to yours - so it's no use. Maybe when I retire I shall find time to reply. For the moment, I am happy trying to instigate you to vent more of your anger and frustration on everybody in general and me in particular. I am sure visitors to this thread are enjoying our exchanges.

Though Nehru looked like a chaprasi to you, do yourself a favour by reading his "glimpses of world history", and "nehru-sunlight and shadow" - a book on him by Dom Moraes. What do you think Mahatma Gandhi looked like? Tell me and I promise I will offer you some more 'suggested readings'.

Since your posts in LCI do not relate to specific legal issues but social issues, let us do some English knowledge sharing -you tell me the meaning of "neurotic" and I will tell you the meaning of "incorrigible" (even if you know the meaning of incorrigible, please pretend that you don't. Pls let me beat you atleast once. Pls Pls Pls).
