Property record update: name discrepancy & system error

Hello everyone, I'm seeking advice on updating property owner details on a Haryana ULB online portal. My registered Sale Deed lists the owner as for example "X. Y. Sharma," but the portal shows "NA". The system's primary issue is a name mismatch with Aadhaar (longer legal name "X. Y. Z. [Middle Name] Sharma"). I've never formally changed my name; this is a common usage variation – short and long name. I've provided the Sale Deed, PAN, Driving License, Property Tax Receipts, Electricity Bill (all in "X. Y. Sharma"), and also a "One and the Same Person" affidavit. The authorities demanded a newspaper publication (for name change) due to the mismatch. This feels inappropriate since it's a name discrepancy, not a change. Furthermore, the property was registered via WebHALRIS in 2012, with all fees paid for automatic computerization. This didn't happen, and the area recorded is also incorrect less than as per sale deed. How can I compel the authorities to correct the name and area as per the Sale Deed, given the system rigidity and their demand for an irrelevant publication? Any legal insights on addressing name discrepancies and systemic errors, especially concerning Haryana's property laws, are appreciated. Thanks!

You collect all the evidences of this mismatch error committed by their department and issue a legal notice to correct and rectify the details as per the registered sale deed, failing which you can file an appeal before their higher authority and seek remedy and relief.

Basically there is some confusion with the department, which requires rectfication and department is reluctant, isn't it?

Did you issue some written complaint / application / notice to the concered authority ?

It is better to consult a local prudent lawyer for appreciation of relevant documents, professional advise and necessary proceeding.
