currently there is lawyers agitation in allahabad on account of death of alawyer due to medical negligence. however, there is counter allegation from doctors side that such things are resorted to avoid  payments .Doctors are also in agitative moods. the DM organized a joint meeting of lawyers and doctors wherein yesterday it was resolved that a commitee comprising of one member from bar association ,medical association, trade association, journlist association, magistrate and an officer from health department will be costituted. the committee will look into the complaints re medical negligence and  high fees.

Dear Mr. Asumi

I firmly believe that Dr. if found negligent should be heavily pennalised. But it is also equally true that Dr. should not be only held liable just because patient did not respond as it should have been. So far avoiding negligence by Medical practitioner is concerned in my view they should first note down the history of the patient and then prescribe necessary tests so that to ascertain the actual problem of the patient and should clearly write down the requisite advise instead of giving oral suggestion.
