Maintenance and dv case

Dear Sir,

Is it necessary that in the family court  for maintenance case and in the metropolition court

for the DV case only authorised legal advocate can pled the case?

Can a other person who is closed relative of husband can proceed in the court

for arguments and  defence etc.

Kindly guide at an early date
