Lease agreement in the name of deceased owner

The owner of a property in Mumbai passed away recently. His house was given out on lease (by following the correct procedure, registering the lease agreement etc.) The property has to be transferred to his daughter (younger of the two children) as per his will. The elder child (son) has no dispute or claim on the property. Both the children are tax paying adults. In such case, does the lease agreement in the name of the deceased terminate by death? Is the daughter legally required to enter in her name, into the lease agreement with the Lessee?

contract may terminate on death of one of the parties, however, the rights of succession may apply and the agency rights may pass to the landlords beneficiary. Here the beneficiary is owner's daughter.
