Kept out of property matters

My mother (married in 1971) is a legal heir of her father who expired in 1990. He had a property with land in Coimbatore on which my mother's brothers and sisters have built houses adjoining ancestral house. My mother has not been shown any will after her father's expiry. When she asks for her share in property, they say they have built house there and hence it is theirs and cannot share the property with her. Now they plan to sell it and we got this news thru other sources.

We are based in Chennai. What can my mother do :

1. To get them to talk abt the property and show the will. The fact that each person who built a house says they have a will and not showing it indicates some fraud. Legal notice was served already and nothing has come of it.

2. What is the legal procedure to prevent sale of the property by other heirs without consulting my mother. None of the heirs are on talking terms with my mother.
