@ querist,

whatever her name is in Matric board certificate or we can call 10th standard has to be continued bcz this is the starting proof of her date of birth along with the name mentioned it that.So if you want to make PAN card Or open A/c you have to submit her previous name only if it has not been changed.

If her name is changed by any affidavit and sign of SDM then again you have to change from very begining trough all certificates to continue the such official name, but it is quite tedious.Better tell her to use her previous name for official purposes.

Any name change should be done legally in Small causes court, by paying required fee and also giving in writing a affidavit as to why such name change is desired.

If court feels it is appropriate then it will permit change of name.

Change of name just through a notary and advertisement in newspaper does not hold any value.

In this case Neeru Devi need to be used in every place hereon.  Or else it will be trouble legally in the future.  If you desire to change name, then do it legally and keep new name as Anita Verma, as explained above.

change of name is having a stipulated procedure by the government

1. submit a form with all the particulars what all documents you have xerox with gazetted officer signature on that

2. say from A to B you want to change then why you want to change reason should be clear

3. after submission the collectorate office will issue a notification and a notice to you to be printed in newspaper

4. after 60 days the office will issue a gazette notification of change of name through a government order and a press release

5. here no need of changing all the certificates name to be changed to new name where ever you want to submit with new name should accompany the old certificate also with government certificate

I agree with mahesh sir, but for officialy she needs to change her old certificates name to avoid any cumbersome why bcz any authority is bound to follow the certificates of matriculation onwards. So,if a person wants to be imerge as the later name anywhere along with on all finacial and educational documents----he needs to give the previous name until or unless it has not been changed from the very begining.

The process to change the name on previous certificate is------write an application, take print out of your name change publication in press along with govt. notification and submit it to all conserned Boards, they will take time and issue you with order certificate.Rest for all the same process...

Thanks.
