Hello, Thank you for your question and I hope I am not late. There is no such limitation for a marraige that is valid to be registered. Registration can take place in 2 ways - 

1. Online Registration of the marriage whcih is a new adventure of the government where the aadhar number of the parties will be needed for the solemnization of the marriage. 

2. Going to the registrar of marriages of either parties locality with all the esssentail documents needed including the marriage certificate as issued by the Church where the marriage took place. The proof that the marriage occured is also to be attached with the same along with the acknowledgement slips of the witnesses and the parties. Please note that a notice regarding the same must be sent to the registrar.

This is based on the presumption of the marriage being valid under the Indian Christian Marriage Act of 1872. 

There is no time limit for registering christian marriage in India .
