Internal leakage in monsoon from exterior wall

Dear Sir ,

We are currently residing in registered coopetrative hosuing society.

And we are facing internal leakeage in our flat due to seapage problem from external wall of the building.

The leakage problem is only during monsoon and stops when monsoon season over.

Can we claim from society the internal damage happened from seapage problem.

Looking forward to hear from you.

Thanks

Hello Ajit!

It is a very common problem faced by the members in many society. if the problem of internal leakage is due to exterior walls of the society, then you may write a letter to the society asking them to look into the issue and get the problem resolved by getting it repaired. fSince, external walls is a part of common area, hence society is responsible to get it repaired.

Hello Ajit! In that case write complaint to the Dy. Registrar of the society about the non action of the committee on your complaint. Let the Dy. Registrar issues notice to the society.
