There are seperate tribunals purely for the educational institutions, known as school tribunal and university tribunals which are prdominently occupies with the grievances/cases filed by the Unions of teaching and non teaching staff and these tribunals are teethless. There are local girevances committee at Univesity level which are also ineffective to resolve the problems faced by the students and others. Creating any other additional regulatory machanism with no teeth will only increase the burden. The set up of educational institutions funded is so much complicarted that it becomes a tug of war to prove the supremacy between each like, the state, the UGC, NAAC etc. Unless the present machanism is not overhauled and not utilised to the fullest extent of its effeciveness, all the efforts will be futile and frutless. This opinion is based on my 35 years working experience in an aided educational institution and is purly personal.

The Article throws sufficient light on the educational system in our country. Congratulations on a well written Article. Along with the formal education, the growth of coaching/ training institutes has also added to the canvas of education. While there are positives of the coaching institutes, the recent failures of a few raises concerns and anxiety not only for the students but also for their parents. It is time that sufficient attention is paid to these institutes and bring in some element of regulation to avoid disasters in future.
