So many views and no replies. Dear esteemed member and lawyers please throw some light on the impact of conviction under IPC 279 on the convict on the future jobs, visa applications etc.

I have already replied your query posted by you at the experts panel appearing at: https://www.lawyersclubindia.com/experts/Does-admonishment-amounts-to-conviction--354991.asp
However, the same is repeated here also for your information, as follows:
You should feel lucky that you have been let off with mere admonishment, which in my opinion is a type of serious warning and not a punishment. Otherwise IPC 279 provides for a punishment of imprisonment for six months, or with fine which may extend to one thousand rupees, or with both. In section 279 there is no provision for admonishment.
Dear Querist,
Don't worry, section 279 of IPC is for rash driving. It not a grievous offence. Yes, your career would have in grave problem if you were charged with section 338 and same was proved.
But Service sector,now-a-days,trending towards getting a declaration from the candidate if he/she ever been booked for some criminal offence. It may give a bad impression of you to your prospective employer.Even in educational institution, you are asked to submit a declaration form.
Advice-Don't take such other chance and discourge others to do so.
Best wishes
