Idea registeration

hi attorney community,

wondering how can i register my idea in india equivalent to PPA in US, this is basically to protect the infringement.

how effective are the laws?

what precautions to take?

what would be the cost?

who has experience to help?

You can NOT  protect your idea under copy right Act 1957 .  Idea can not be protected but the expression or production which is the result of the idea is the copy right of the person.

Ideas, information, natural phenomena and event on which an author expends his skill, labour, capital, judgment and literary talent are common property and are not the subject of copy right. ( Indian Express Newspapers (Bombay) Pvt Ltd V. Dr. Jagmohan Mundhara, AIR 1985 Bom 229)
