Diwali bonus during notice period

Hello,

I am working with pvt ltd company. I had given resignation.Now, I am serving notice period of 30 Days.

Before fall into notice period my seniors annouced diwali bonus to office staff via verbal communication.

My question is that :

Am i entitled to get the Diwali bonus during notice period?

Should i claim for diwali bonus?

Notice period is in service period. You should be entitled. The statutory and customary bonus is paid to each eligible employee.

Diwali bonus depends on the service conditions. It could be 12 completed monthsor 6 months, depending upon the contract. You have to read your contract.

adv. vinod passi is right. u have to serve minimum one year earlier to get yr bonus, even if there is no letter of employment, if they refuse you can meet asst commissioner of labour or labor enforcement officer relevant to your district concerned. he would help you.
