Crucial date to determine upper age limit

Hi .. I have joined as a Tech Asst under PMO (Govt of India) on contract basis in Oct 2009. Since than my contract has been renewed regularly. I have a doubt in case when the organization will absorb the contractual employees for regular employment. At the time of interview my age was BELOW 30 years but at the time of Joining my age had crossed almost 2 months above 30 years. I therefore would like to confirm which date would be treated as an upper age limit in my case i.e. Age at the time of Interview OR Age at the time of Joining ??

I have come to know that this organization has approved its Rules of Recruitment from Govt of India (though its not sure) and there is no clear indication of the said dispute. The organization is likely to consider the age at the time of joining which will make me direcly out of the frame.

Kindly advice me for the same.

You should beeligible on the 1st January preceding the date of vacancy (if the recruitment rules existed on the date of vacancy)

Thank u sir for your kind concern. Actuallay i have been through a DoPT Order No. 14017/3/83-Estt(RR), 15 Apr, 1983, which says "THE CRUCIAL DATE FOR DETERMINING THE AGE LIMIT SHALL BE THE CLOSING DATE FOR RECEIPT OF APPLICATION FROM CANDIDATE IN INDIA". If they consider the same order  OR the case as u said i.e. 1st Jan 2009 as crucial age.. ill be eligible in both cases.  But actually i came to know that Rules of Recruitments (RR) of the organization is drafted within few last months. So can they create rules without DoPT Orders ? ?

Respected SIr, 

I would like to know if advertisement for certain contractual position in Govt of India was not floated openly and recruitment was done by interview after calling candidates internally, which date will be considered as crucial date for determining upper age limit??

Notified to whom ??? If talking about employees thn no formal notification was done .. and we just heard it by other means ... that too not sure about the rules as we have no access to it.

if you do not have access to rules then use RTI

Being a National Security Agency .. its nt comes ander the RTI Act ... though ill try to see if it is possible. 

p.s. They said that we have already framed the date as date of joining. . so expressed their helplessness. :-(

recruitment rules are published and official gazette and are public information.
