Sir we have filed contempt of court in CAT against SSC for not complying with the CAT order. But after issue of notice they have been granted unnecessary adjournment 2 times. It's been 8 months since order is passed and 4 months since contempt notice is issued. Is there any limitation to the number of adjournment in contempt case. What can we do to expedite the proceedings. We are suffering a lot.

If the respondent did not comply with the orders passed by the tribunal, instead of filing a petition for contempt of court you should have filed an execution petition to execute the orders, which would have been more effective.
You can consult your advocate on all such further issues since the matter is subjudice before the legal forum
