A quick search on internet would expose one to the multitude of complaints against telecom service providers, including non-activation of services and other service related issues. With more and more complaints piling up on a daily basis against the handful of service providers in India, especially against major corporates like Reliance, is there a premise for filing a class action lawsuit against a single corporate.
During a press interview with Justice Ashok Bhan, President, National Consumer Disputes Redressal Commission, he explained that Consumer courts are not equipped to handle legally complicated cases, such as class action lawsuit. So my question is is there a premise for filing a class action lawsuit against serial service offenders in India's telecom industry.
