BCI Legal Eductn Committee on Disqualifying LLM Law Teachers

Respected Sir, SUBJECT: Bar Council of India-Legal Education Committees resolution on disqualifying of Faculty members from teaching Law in centre of Legal Education in India- RESOLVED Law Teachers who qualified from Distance Education Mode or Correspondence mode -Master of Law (LL.M) qualifications from recognized Universities by Distance Education Council & UGC/ Government of India SHOULD NOT BE considered as a QUALIFICATION for appointment to teach Law to the students-These sudden-Unconstitutional-Immoral-Unethical-oblique motive and ill-designed drive-Puts the fate of lakhs of teachers in the country to hang in balance-beside making them permanently unemployed -Request yours kind concern to please probe into the matter and do needul_regarding REF: 1. Bar Council of India / Legal Education Committee letter Circular No-9/2012 (2283/2012) dated: 30-11-2012 & Circular No: BCI:D:1661/2012 dated: 21-08-2012. 2. On Line Grievance Registration PG PORTAL No: DSEHE/E/2013/00029-dated: 07-01-2013 & DSEHE/E/2013/00032 dated 08-01-2013. MINHA/E/2013/00075 dated: 10-01-2013 and PRSEC/E/2013/01172 dated: 18-01-2013. With Reference to the subjected cited above, this is to bring to yours kind attention and for necessary action please. That, the Legal Education Committee, Bar Council of India has resolved that, Master of Law (LL.M) through distance education mode OR Correspondence mode should not be considered as qualification for appointment of teachers to teach law to the students in law colleges in India . Where as these harsh, Sudden-Unconstitutional, Immoral and Unethical-oblique motive and ill-designed drive- which Puts the fate of Lakhs of teachers in the country to hang in balance. Further, it is a matter of concern that, LLM Course through distance modes is purely governed by the UNIVERSITY GRANT COMMISSION Distance Education Council (DEC) AND IGNOU, Government of India. Besides the UGC has Mandatory for every lecturer to go through National Eligibly Test (NET) and State Eligibility Test (SET) to become a lecturer in their particular Subject. Therefore, It is urged to yours kind concern that, Under what authority or powers that Bar Council of India can DIS-QUALIFY the LL.M Qualifications and Degrees issued by the Universities which are purely governed by the standards of Distance Education Council (DEC), National Accreditation & Assessment Council (NAAC), University Grand Commission (UGC) and supervised by the IGNOU, DEC and by other government organization. In the light of the above facts, We the aspirants of LLM Students and Teachers from distance education mode, requests yours kind concern to please probe into the matter favorably and pass necessary urgent orders to the authorities concerned with instructions to probe into the matter concerned and conduct a thorough inquiry and investigation and take-necessary action to cancel such unconstitutional-Immoral-Unethical-oblique motive and ill-designed drive of the Legal Education Committee, Bar Council of India which is intended to make lakhs of LL.M Distance modes teachers UNEMPLOYED and their fate to hang in imbalance and do needful at an earliest in the interest of lakhs of professionals of noble education and oblige.
