498a definition is not consistent??

Even for one day if the marriage is valid then she can file 498a, but if you have strong evidence they you have not stayed together at all, then the courts will not take case seriously, and at the pre FIR stage if the same evidence is presented to the police then should not file FIR.

Remember, She may say "Living 2gather even 4 a single day was nt possible coz they were so cruel to seek dowry.....threatened me to kill etc etc" There is no end to lies.

Yes, even for single day, or without spending even a day on the valid marriage 498-a can be filed.
