Who can buy agriculture land in andhra pradesh?

Hi,

I need your help on the following queries.

1) Who can buy agriculture land in the state Andhra Pradesh?

2) Can a person not doing farming inherit (or get as gift) the agriculture land from parents?

3) Any link to the rules/acts governing the above aspects in Andhra Pradesh?

FYI, I am born and brought-up in Andhra Pradesh but currently working in a private company in Bangalore, Karnataka. My father, grandfather and great grandfather are all born & brought-up in Andhra Pradesh and are agriculturists and have/had agriculture land in their name(s) in Andhra Pradesh.

Thanks in advance.

Venkat

You no need to do all these things, you can see lot of information online nowadays.
1. Pahani/Adangal: Basically this will contain survey numbers and area and current owner etc...
This can be seen at https://apland.ap.nic.in, but now it is redirecting us to go and take the certificates at MeeSeva centres.
2. ROR (Record of Rights): This will give you the same information as Pahani/Adangal and can be get it from MeeSeva centres
3. EC (Encumbrance Certificate): This will give you the transactions for last 30 years related to that survey number.
4. F.M.B (Field measurement Book): This will give you map where particular survey number land is located and can be get it from MeeSeva Centres.

Ramachary sir ,

Thanks for your reply. But what I wanted to know is

1) am I legally eligible to buy agriculture land in my name in Andhra Pradesh?

2) If I am not eligible to buy agriculture land in Andhra Pradesh, for what reason is it so?

Thanks,

Venkat
