Stamp duty on release deed/gift deed between siblings/nomine

Pl advise , which is a better option for transfer of flat in a co-op hsg soc in pune between the siblings who are also the nominees/legal heirs ;a release deed/gift deed( which attract lesser stamp duty and is easier to process)

Mother is no-more and father expired without a will. He nominated the siblings ( toal 4) giving each 25% share in the flat.

Three of my siblings are now US citizens and have no issues in transfering/ realasing/gifting their share to me, The only problem is they cannot comeover to india to process this transfer of flat.

Normally, stamp duty for execution of gift deed among blood relatives would be lesser when compared to that of a Release deed.

Stamp duties differ from one State to another.  Enquire in the concerned Sub-Registrat's office.

Ask the persons at U.S. to execute a Power of Attorney  in the name of someone to execute a gift deed on their behalf in India.
