The selected candidates may be recruited as per the terms and conditions specified in the advertisement. The selected candidates will be posted according to the vacancies and roster points. However, verify the same and then proceed if any are against the terms and conditions.
Dr. J C Vashista (Advocate ) 20 July 2025
Instead of date of selection (2020 in the instant case) the date of joining (2024) shall be reckonable for all service related purposes including compensation .
T. Kalaiselvan, Advocate (Advocate) 21 July 2025
For SSC (Staff Selection Commission) government posts, seniority is generally reckoned from the date of joining the service, not the date of selection. This means that the day an individual physically reports for duty and begins working in their assigned position is the starting point for determining their seniority within the service.
Hence as per law you are not entitled for any compensation or any other privilege for the period not been in active serice.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Advocate) 21 July 2025
Does not matter what is date of joining. The sernirity isdetermined as permerit of selection. You have not been able to put your grievance. The reasns for timegap of 4 years are not clear.
P. Venu (Advocate) 21 July 2025
Yes, seniority based on rank in the merit list not the date of joining or the Date of selection (?).
What is the reason for inordinate delay? In case delay has been wilful and malicious, an action in tort lies. However, in our country, this is still an untested ground.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Advocate) 22 July 2025
UPSC/ SSC are generally charged off the matter after they have delcared result and leave it upon the department (to who the candidates is allocated) to complete the recquitment formalities. So forget about action against SSC.
Generally a time of 2/3 year is taken for completion of formalitie after selection. You have not cleared the timeline of delay. So it cannot be examined if the delay is justified or not.
R.K Nanda (Advocate) 22 July 2025
All depends on the terms and conditions of employment.
Sudhir Kumar, Advocate (Advocate) 25 July 2025
Specific factors leading to delay are relevant.
