Salary not paid for 7 months

I am working as assistant professor in a state govt controlled university. I am not getting my salary for last 6 months.

i had taken medical leave for 21 days in may; i resumed my duties in june. since then i am discharging all my duties assigned to me- class, exam duty, time table committee etc. But inspite of all this , i am not being paid my salary since may. during my illness , following accident, i had properly sent my medical reports. also i submitted them in original and also fitness certificate at the time of resuming my duties. the authority is assigning me duties of every possible kind, even which i am not supposed to do. but they are not paying my salary even for those period when i worked after resuming duties post illness. also 3 months salary is of dec , jan feb 2012 is pending.

i have written letters to higher authorities. but i am not getting any response. i am facing financial problems because of this. please give me advice of what to do.

thanks

At first Ask under RTI the reason why you are not being paid ? Also ask referring your previous applications/ letters, that what action was taken on these letters. ?

If you have been writing to first authority then try by writing to appellate authority, then meet them and find out the reasons. Follow the hierarchy.

RTI as suggested by Mr. Arvind is a good option.
