Father's property

Hi,

I am from Secunderabad, we have house property which comes under gramakuntam with gram panchyat construction permission, house plan, electricity bill, and municipal tax coming in my father's name. My father has two wives, 1st one has two children one son and daughter both married and 2nd one has three children two sons and one daughter all married. He passed away in 2013 and 1st wive passed away in 2007. Now we children under family mutual understanding decided to give away the house to me. What is the procedure, cost involved and I want to sell this property once it is registered in my name.

The process involves obtaining legal heir certificates, executing relinquishment deeds, registering the property in the beneficiary's name, and then selling it through a registered sale deed. It's advisable to consult with a local lawyer to navigate the specific legal requirements and costs associated with the property's location in Secunderabad.

You, your siblings both from the 1st wife and the 2nd wife, and your father's second wife have equal rights over the property, and hence all the legal heirs of your father shall execute a relinquishment deed in your name after getting the legal heir certificate and your father and the 1st wife.
