Possession of Re-sale flay

Sir. I had entered into an agreement for sale and paid 25% of flat cost and also got registered. Now when I went to give final 75% cheque in the form of Bank Loan and collect possession of the flat - the owner has asked for 15 days time - so is it advusable to give this 15 days time ? Dilip

Yes, there is nothing wrong in waiting for 15 days for taking possession and you do not have to worry about the payment since it is by cheque and through bank loan.

Thank you very much for prompt reply but my fear is because since giving token amount and after payment of margin money the seller has changed his attitude and his giving possession to me is dependand on he getting possession from builder for his big flat? Secondly my worry is because he has defaulted in his payment to builder Thirdly He initially said 15 days and before giving cheque for final payment * Now he wants one months time? If I give him time and final payment * Is there any way I can force him to give possession ? In other words * I do not want to be at his mercy later on ? Because my Trust in him is now a Big Question Mark ?
