I had leased a flat in bandra for 1.5 lakhs a month, paid 3 lakhs deposit. Registered agreement
Due to personal problems I was considering breaking the lock in of 11 months + 1 month notice
However, the landlord threatened to take away the deposit. I finished my tenure
The notice period rent was not paid and i asked to deduct it from the deposit, landlord agreed
I left the apartment in great condition, however due to emotional stress I beleived the landlords promise of paying by evening. The landord comitted fraud and later was claiming damages
In rage i texted the Landlord to keep the money as a donation for being a fraud. I did demand the money later.
This happened 5 months back,
Whats the best solution ? The contract clearly states on the day i leave the money must be returned with 50,000 for damages and after deduction within 30 days. She Kept 1.5 lakhs and has not returned anything
