Recently my cellphone has been stolen and subsequently recovered by the Hyderabad police.
However, for recovery they redirected me to the court to complete few paperwork. The lawyer they connected me to mentions, I've to pay close to 25% of the phone value (25% of 16000 = ~4000 Rupees) to the court and 500 Rupees for the lawyer.
Is this the regular practice? This seems too much for me. I've been victim of a crime and I have to pay to recover it? Is there no other way?
